Things are looking very good.  Tuesdays have been a time of rejoicing and rebuilding.  I have completed my auditions. Sweet Sound Band is whole again andhas the Sweet Sound I’ve been lacking since the parting of several Sweet Sound Band members. Although change is often sad, it is good.

Sometimes you’ve gotta get past the trees to see the forest.   I’ve always believed that the band members were family.   This will not change.   I will continue my family practice.

 We love to perform for you and wait and see the return with old and new band members that still believe in the band and what I believe in… family.

My new family members now consist of: Mike Flori on Drums, and Dean Alsteron Lead Guitar.  Our three latest additions is Gerrie La Lead Vocalist (who also sings with me in “Just the two Of us”) who is truly beautiful, with a voice of an Angel.    The return once again to our stage is “Richie B” on Tenor Sax, Flute and woodwinds. And… someone who was with me for 9 years on the keys in Sweet Sound band… is Sheldon Weinberg who although has been away from the group for some 6 or 7 years is back...  along with my cast of regulars: Joe Antaki, Trumpet, Orlando Gonzalez Alto Sax.      (Pictures to follow)   Along with the members of ”John Roper and the Bob Knight Four” vocalists.  

A very special note about Lloyd Lindberg, Keyboardist, and Kelly Tyrrel Bass Guitar:

Lloyd has been with me a while now but because of his scheduling problems, we had to part ways.  He truly will be missed as a full timer but hopefully he will be able to sub when Sheldon is not available.

We will miss you too Kelly Tyrrel. We understand the reasons why you had to leave.  Working with a large band such as Sweet Sound Band and John Roper and the Bob Knight Four can be very taxing. It requires a lot of time and hard work. It is a very structured group of people. I know you are happier with what you are doing now with your new group.  We wish you the very best.     

The Sweet Sound Band now has the vocals of John Roper and the Bob Knight Four in the group to add their flavor to the Sweet Sound.  They also are available on their own with, or without the Sweet Sound Band as backup. Look for us… Sweet Sound Band and John Roper and the Bob Knight Four.   Come on down and dance the night away to all your favorite music from all of us to you…. 

Now for another change:   Along with S.S.B. I am also singing with John Roper, Joe Antaki, Pete Scolaro, and Lou Roseto in the “John Roper and the Bob Knight Four” legend group. The original (B.K.F.) Bob Knight Four (John Roper) performed all over the place in the late 50’s and early 60’s.  They had several top ten hits on the radio, such as “Good Goodbye”,  “Two Friends”,  “You Gotta Know”,  “Well I’m Glad”,  “Tomorrow We’ll Be Married” and “Somewhere” (Westside Story) to name a few.  It is now known as “John Roper and the Bob Knight Four”.  This is in addition to, and separate from the Sweet Sound Band, but are part of the S.S.B. vocally when not performing as (B.K.F.) “John Roper and the Bob Knight Four”.

 Don’t forget “Just The Two Of Us” still going strong since 1990. Now featuring Gerrie La and myself Dennis Gustaferri, both from the “Sweet Sound Band” “When a Band is too Much and a DJ’s Not Enough” “Just The Two Of Us”
